How to choose the right model:
For beginners:
By „a beginner“ we mean a pilot who has never flown a model plane before. To those beginners we recommend choosing a plane that is very stable and built of resistant material withstanding destruction,
such as EPP. This version is suitable for the first encounter with pilotage and a plane control. This way you save time and money,
and also the first failure will not discourage you. If it is possible, it is always a good thing to start under a supervision of
an experienced pilot, who can also advice you on selecting a suitable RC set and other gear, and who can also guide you through
the first troubles handling the model. We recommend to choose a bigger model for the first time users: it is more visible and
its reactions to weather conditions are less turbulent. You will find those models in our new e-shop, where there is also stated
a suitability of use of specific models.
For moderately advanced and for pilots:
Now, they can select from our offer of sport glider models. It is necessary to ask yourself a question „what I want to do with
the model“. That means the way I want to fly the model, if I prefer thermic flying or dynamic flight. According to those criteria
we must choose how firm the model will be. Each model specifies different possibilities of model resiliency, so that the model
withstands whatever the pilot expects from it. Another question is a selection of plane type. The recommendations are included
in a description of each model. Generally, for thermic flying is the most suitable a model with big wing span and low weight.
This applies to thermic flying in windless conditions. However, in a stronger wind this model stands still and does not fly.
This problem is solved by building models with a modern monocoque technology, their surface is optimally weighted down and have
laminar and highly penetrating profiles. This means, that the models can fly in complete windlessness as well as strong wind,
when „even the birds walk“. Then the choice depends on a terrain we want to fly in, and also a manner od flying. For thermic
flying is more suitable a model with a bigger span, 3 to 5 meters. The low Czech hills need models with span up to 3,5 meters,
you can fly that model almost everywhere. For flying in higher placed slopes are suitable models with span 3 meters and more,
and at the same time as strong as possible, but it also depends on the landing possibilities and the way the model is flown
by a pilot. Last, but not least, the transport possibilities of a customer are also important.
